The California Reading Association recognizes the importance of the professional development to inspire and inform. We are proud to announce the formation of the CRA Speakers bureau to profile members who can do just that. Need a speaker for your next local council event? Want to make a recommendation to an administrator? Consider CRA as a clearinghouse for matching speakers and events. Featured speakers include:
 
Vicki Gibson - Chairman/CEO of Gibson Hasbrouck and Associates (Keynotes/Conference Sessions/Webinars
Vicki has been teaching children and adults since 1975. She was a kindergarten teacher and learning disability specialist in public schools for 20 years before opening four private schools for children ages 2-12 years. Vicki was an Adjunct Professor at Texas A&M University and author of books, a video and guidebook for classroom management. Currently she is a national consultant, speaker and trainer.

Gloria Ramos Gonzalez - Brilliant Minds Learning Academy (Keynotes/Conference Sessions)
Gloria is a Harvard trained bilingual reading specialist. Along with working on a research project in vocabulary development, she has been a literacy coach in Massachusetts and Maryland. Her presentations encompass research, reading theory and classroom lessons aligned to state stan- dards.

Ron Klemp - Language Matters Education Consultants (Keynotes/Conference Sessions)
Ron has been a reading teacher, dean of discipline and the creator of the Secondary Practitioner Center with the Los Angeles Unified School District. He founded the Middle School Peace In- stitute that ran at fourteen middle schools in Los Angeles and Mississippi. He is the author/co- author of books. He new book is Building Literacy in Social Studies.

Judith B. O’Loughlin - Language Matters Education Consultants (Keynotes/Conference Ses- sions/Webinars)
Judith has over 30 years experience teaching ESL and English. She teaches graduate courses for New Jersey City University and is an education consultant for both mainstream and ESL/bilingual teachers, school districts, and state departments on standards and curriculum projects. She has authored/coauthored books.
